Women Have Been Leaders in Chiropractic From The Start

According to Senior Director of the Palmer Foundation for Chiropractic History Alana Callender, chiropractic in its infancy had a large number of women in its ranks, some of whom would go on to lead chiropractic colleges, clinics for severely ill children, and the way for other women chiropractors to follow. The Silicon Valley Leadership Group celebrated its 30th anniversary at a special event on June 2 at the Santa Clara Convention Center. The event was attended by a delegation of Palmer administrators, alumni and faculty, and included participation by local, state and national leaders, including Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi.

Several Palmer graduates spoke or presented papers at the Chiropractic Pediatrics Conference held April 18-20, in Gold Coast, Australia. The event focused on chiropractic pediatric care and showcased chiropractic pediatric research.

West Campus Graduation – March 30

Nine graduates received their Doctor of Chiropractic degrees during the West Campus Winter Quarter 2008 commencement on March 30 in the theater of the Santa Clara Convention Center.
